Mr. Emmit Warnock, age 82, of the Kibbee Community, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness. He was a native of Montgomery County, and lived most of his life in Kibbee. He retired from Oxford Industries after forty-six years as well as Meredith Industries after another thirteen years. He was a 1954 graduate of Montgomery County High School in Kibbee, was a member and Deacon of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by two wives, Reba Wilkes Warnock and Harvie Calhoun Warnock; parents, Julius and Bonnie Palmer Warnock; two brothers, Curtis Warnock and Garrett Warnock; and one step-daughter, Kim Hall.

Mr. Warnock is survived by three sons, Rickey Warnock and wife Belinda of Kibbee, Clay Warnock and wife Peggy of Uvalda, and Randall Warnock and wife Jackie of Pelham, Alabama; one step-daughter, Jill Reese and husband Matt of Kibbee; five grandchildren, Nolan Warnock and wife Jessica of Hazlehurst; Melanie Short of Durham, North Carolina, James Warnock and fiancé Bekkah Wheeler of Uvalda; Sarah Warnock, and Reba Warnock, both of Kibbee; five step-grandchildren, Ashley Malone and husband Willie, Mikayla Fike and husband Brandon, Madison Reese, Matthew Reese, and Jacob Reese; two great-grandchildren, Wesley and Samuel; and two step-great-grandchildren, Dawson and Dakota.

The funeral service will be held Friday, September 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
