Paul Duane Hunsaker, 81, of Orem, died February 5, 2018. He was born in Brigham City, Utah, on June 30, 1936, to Paul and Sadie Hunsaker.

The first of five children, he grew up on a farm in Harper Ward, which is now part of Brigham City, Utah. He graduated from Box Elder High School. He served in the Army Reserves and the Army National Guard.

On July 11, 1956, he married Barbara Elaine Hunsaker. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married for 61 years.

Paul was a friend and example to all. Many people trusted his compassion and expertise as a pharmacist. He lived true to his faith in Jesus Christ and held fast to his testimony of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was deeply committed to his family. He and our mother created an atmosphere of love that is evidenced by the love and respect their posterity has for one another.

He is survived by his children Jerry (Vicki), Paula Smoot (Harold), Malcom (Sherry), Alan (Jill), and Rodger, twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lynda Weaver (Jack), and Kathy Buck (Paul), and a brother, Mike (Marilyn). He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister, Pat Johnson, and her husband Ron Johnson.

His funeral will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Orem Stake Center, 80 South 280 East in Orem. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 9:40 that morning and on Friday, February 9th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

His family is grateful for his caring doctors and nurses, the staff at Provo Dialysis Center, American Fork Dialysis Center, Utah Valley Hospital, Timpanogos Regional Hospital, The Peaks Care and Rehab, Stonehenge of American Fork, and Valeo Home Health and Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either the Missionary Fund or the Humanitarian Aid Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
