Halovee Gaither, 91, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at her home. She was born July 4, 1925, to Bennie Hite "B.H." and Tezzie Lee Owens Dulaney. She was an active member of the Fulton Church of Christ. She was a seamstress for the public. She enjoyed writing poetry, painting, crocheting, flower gardening, and canning.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Russ Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice G. Slaymaker (Don Allen) of Huntsville, AL, and Sharon G. Blackard (Michael) of Olive Branch, MS; three grandchildren, Nichole Wehling, Ashley Blackard, and Loren Slaymaker; and one great-granddaughter, Ciera Justice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gaither, who died May 2, 2011; one sister, Corrine Dulaney; one great-grandson, Johnathan Lane Rodgers; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until service time Wednesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
