Services for Mary Alice Bowman, 66, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary, followed by services of Women of the Moose No. 1091, at the mortuary. Burial will be at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.
Mrs. Bowman died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1994, at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born Aug. 10, 1928, at Oregon, Mo., the daughter of Herbert and Mabel Mapes McCoy. She graduated from high school at Oregon and moved to Topeka in 1952.
Mrs. Bowman had been employed at Wild Willie's, Silver Lake State Bank and Commerce Bank and Trust. She retired in June 1988.
She was a member and officer of Women of the Moose No. 1091; member of Ladies Auxiliary to Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of Veterans of Foreign Wars; Ladies Auxiliary to Topeka North Post No. 400 of American Legion; Ladies Auxiliary to Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 58; Ladies of Arab Temple; and American Association of Retired People.
She married George Watson in 1947. He preceded her in death, as did a son, Larry Watson.
She married Charles Bowman on Aug. 7, 1978, at Las Vegas. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Watson, Alma, and Terry Watson, Topeka; three daughters; Mary Elizabeth Stattelman, Linda Cross and Ellen Watson, all of Topeka; a stepson, Mike Bowman, Lawrence; three stepdaughters, Denise Barnes, Clovis, N.M., and Darla Rochelle and Patricia O'Sullivan, both of Topeka; four brothers, Donald McCoy, St. Louis, Kenneth McCoy, Mesa, Ariz., Milton McCoy, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Russell McCoy, Imperial Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Doris Esterbrook, Portland, Ore., and Sharon Rail, Hallam, Neb.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary, where the family will meet with friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to On the Trial to a Cure, in care of the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd., Topeka, 66604.
