Mary Burnadine Bates, 92, of Richmond, MO died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mary was born on April 22, 1925 in Russellville, MO to Thomas Albert and Pearl (Farley) Robeson. She married Donald Lee Bates of Kansas City, MO on February 22, 1946. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1983. Survivors include; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by one sister, LaRue Clemens. Mary was a graduate from Rockingham High School. She was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith. She lived in the Richmond area most of her life. Mary did beautiful quilting and needle point. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
