Donna Jean Acton, 57, of North Vernon passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at St. Vincent Jennings in North Vernon.

Born October 12, 1960, in Hollywood, Florida, Ms. Acton was the daughter of Charles Barnhart and the late Jeannie Stahl Barnhart.

Ms. Acton was a 1978 high school graduate in Lakeland, Florida. She was employed as a DST with Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville for 15 years. Ms. Acton enjoyed drawing, painting, she loved Jesus and spending time with her family.

She is survived by son, Cory Hancock of North Vernon; daughter, Dana (Tim) Brennan of North Vernon; father, Charles Barnhart of Ocala, Florida; brother, Tom Barnhart of Versailles; sisters, Ronica Floyd of Florida, Rebecca (Tom) Spencer of Zanesville, Ohio, Diana (Randy) Wood of North Carolina, Betsy (Steve) Wooton of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Nathaniel Hancock of Kentucky, Adrien, Madison, and Jacob Brennan all of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

In keeping with the family’s wishes private services are being held with burial in the Vernon Cemetery.

Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Ms. Acton through the funeral home for expenses.
