Lillie Etta Jones Harris, age 89, of Glendale, SC, died at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22, 1976, in Riverside, CA after a brief illness.

A native of Buncombe County, NC; daughter of the late Wesley and Dolly Massey Jones; widow of Joe S. Harris (1877–1963).

A member of Glendale Baptist Church; retired employee of Glendale Mills.

Survivors include her daughter, Vaudie Evelyn Harris Hyder Tarbell (1915–1996); sons, Harlie William Harris (1910-1990) and Arvie Oasten Harris; sisters, Minnie Dell Jones Biggs (1894-1989) and Bessie Lee Jones Galic (1899-1996); brothers, Harley William Jones (1891-1980), Samuel Wesley Jones (1908-1983), and Loyd Davis Jones (1892-1983); eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Also predeceased by her sons, Charles Broadway Harris (1910–1975) and Vernon Wesley "Spoonie" Harris (1912-1970); daughter, Grace Harris Bradley (1906-1974); brothers, Robert Cleveland Jones (1884–1966), Roy Medford Jones (1904-1971); and sisters, Hattie Luejean Jones Reno (1886–1950) and Daisy May Jones Kunce (1893–1962).
