Mrs. Cora Barton, 74, of Grapeland died today at 4 a.m. in a Fort Worth convalescent home following an illness of two months. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Grapeland with the Rev. Charles Haley officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Elkhart.
A native of Elkhart, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Grapeland, and had resided in Elkhart and Grapeland most of her life. Her husband was the late D. Tol Barton.
Survivors include three sons, Harmon, Charlie and Troy Gene Barton; a daughter, Mrs. G. F. (Inez) Poor, all of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Mae Wright of Elkhart; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body will be at Hassell & Foster, Grapeland.
