Julia (Trammell) Moore Girdler Brown

"Mrs. Julia Brown, 82, Mt. Ash, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Carrigan, Cincinnati; a son, Charley Moore, Mt. Ash.; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Meadors Detroit, Mrs. Frankie Meadors, Clio route, and Mrs. Etta Taylor, Habersham, Tenn., a brother, Chris Vanover, LaFollette; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel in Williamsburg by the Rev. Bill Childress and the Rev. Albert Bunch. Burial was in the Tanner Cemetery in Somerset."

Julia's maiden name was Trammell. She was listed as Julia Vanover, a daughter of Andy J. Vanover, on the 1900 Census.
