Daughter of Elizabeth and the late John Ross, the deceased had lived all of her life in this vicinity. She was graduated from Casey Township high school in 1930 and was married that same year.
After living in Terre Haute for three years, the Ashleys moved back to her mother's home last November when he became employed by the Pure Oil company here.
Surviving besides the husband are the daughter, Shirley Ann 15, and one son, Maurice 14, both at home; the mother; two sisters Mrs. Rudy Cooper and Mrs. Raleigh Funk both of Johnson township; and several nieces and nephews.
