Larry Willard "Goozle" Austin, 63, of Stanley, died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at the Newton D. Baker V.A. Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was born on Dec. 20, 1954, in Shenandoah and was a son of the late Paul Austin and Catherine Painter Austin.
Mr. Austin was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
On Dec. 23, 1984, he married Regina Good Austin, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three brothers, Paul "Dink," Gary Elmer and Dexter Willie Austin, all of Shenandoah; and a sister, Linda Roach of Elkton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Roxie Kandill.
A graveside service was conducted on Monday, Feb. 5, at the Huffman Family Cemetery by Pastor Donnie Lam.
