Collie was born in McGregor, McLennan Co, TX to Thomas Jefferson and Lula E. Anderson Riley. Her parents are buried in McGregor Cemetery in McLennan County. Collie shares a stone with her husband, Marshall Albert Anderson Sr. Their sons, Billy Joe Anderson, Marvin Ray Anderson and Marshall Junior Anderson, and daughter, Lillian Anderson Beaird, are buried in Garden of Memories. She was residing in Elkhart, TX at the time of her death there. She was survived by five daughters, Lillian Anderson Beaird, Lula Mae Anderson Wilson, Mary Ellen Anderson Irwin, Martha Ann Anderson Callaway, all of Elkhart and Barbara Sue Anderson Pilkington of Grapeland; five sons, Albert Anderson of Chandler, and Roy James Anderson, Robert Anderson, Tilman Wayne Anderson and Marvin Ray Anderson, all of Palestine; 39 grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Her obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Friday, 16 July 2004.
