Services for Mrs. Edith Siler, 97, of 925 SW 28, Oklahoma, were Monday, November 11, 1963 at Antioch Christian Church at 119 Street and South Portland. Services were conducted by Vendel L. Smith Funeral Home with burial In Moore Cemetery.

Mrs. Siler was born September 5, 1866 In Williamsburg, Kentucky. Her parents were Doctor and Mrs. Lee Leforce. Dr. Leforce was a captain In the Civil War. Mrs. Siler was educated In Williamsburg, Kentucky and taught school at Watts Creek and Williamsburg.

On January 1, 1890, she was married to John Lincoln Siler In Kentucky. One month later they came to Oklahoma and settled on the farm four miles west of Moore, that he had homesteaded during the run in 1889. She made her home on the farm, raised her family there, and operated the farm until approximately 1936 when she moved to Oklahoma City. Mrs. Siler was a charter member of Antioch Church, She Is a member of the Indiana Christian Church and of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Siler was proceeded in death by her husband in 1907 and one son Welmer F. Siler, In 1958.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs, Leah Rogers, Mrs. Rachel Cowan, and Mrs, Georgia K. Norris, all of Oklahoma City, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bolton of Williamsburg, eleven grandchildren great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
