He was residing in Dallas at the time of his death on Thanksgiving Day in the Veteran's Hospital in Legion, Kerr Co, TX. He shares a stone with his wife, Ruby W. Shaw Allred. He was survived by his wife; his parents of San Pueblo, CA; five brothers, Dennis Allred, Homer Allred and J. W. Allred, all of San Pueblo, Woodrow Allred and Marshall Allred, both in the armed forces; a sister, Mrs. Roy Peak of Amarillo. His obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Sunday, 25 November 1945.
