BERTHA STELLE DIED YESTERDAY
Wife Of Anderson Minister Expires At Indianapolis. Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Bertha Antle Stelle, age 52, wife of Rev. J. R. Stelle, pastor of the Park Place Methodist church in Anderson, expired at the home of a sister in Indianapolis yesterday morning following a four-month illness. She was a native of Madison county and resided in Elwood until her marriage to Rev. Stelle 35 years ago.
The Stelles have a large number of friends here and in Summitville, Rev. Stelle having held a pastorate at the latter town. Surviving besides the husband are two sons, two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Park Place Methodist church at Anderson, with Dr. W.H. Bransford, pastor of the First Methodist church in Anderson, officiating. Subsequent services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from the Elwood Methodist church, with Rev. L.G. Jacobs in charge. Burial will be in an Elwood cemetery.
