While in college she met the love of her life Darrel Kirk Fenton.
They were married on October 3, 1958 in the Salt Lake City Temple. The family moved to Colorado in 1961, when Darrel joined the Federal Aviation Administration. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. She was the oldest living active member in the Longmont Stake. She enjoyed walking, singing, attending plays and visiting Estes Park. She loved to tap dance in the morning. One of her greatest accomplishments was writing, The Legacy of Faith, published on January 1, 1997. A copy of the book was placed in the cornerstone of the Fort Collins LDS Temple.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Darrel Kirk Fenton and sister Colleen Eveson. Surviving are her daughter Mindi and her husband Ed of Mead, two sons Brian and his wife Joyce of Filmore, CA and Thomas and his wife Pamela of Ridgefield, WA: and five grandchildren Cody and his wife Kara of Johnstown, Shane and his wife Alyssa of Loveland, Kylie and her husband Ryan of Gilbert, Arizona, MAJ. Josh of Washington, D.C., and Anna Katerina of Vancouver, WA, also five great-grandchildren Cooper, Treagon, Emerick, Makenna and Piper.
A viewing will be held between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m., a memorial service will start at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, at the Mountain View Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2200 11th Ave, Longmont, with Bishop Doug Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Utah on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11:00 am.
