From Dubuque Telegraph Herald, July 22, 1935:
Mrs. David Muir (nee Minnie Priebe) died Sunday afternoon at 3:35 o'clock at the residence, 52 East Twenty-fifth street after an illness of several months duration. She was born Jan. 6, 1883 in this city and is 52 years old. Mrs. Muir had lived in Dubuque all her life with the exception of seven years which were spent in Waterloo.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church and was an active member of the Ladies Aid society of that church. She was also a member of Sylva Camp, Royal Neighbors of America and Silver Star auxillary to the Brotherhood of R. T.
She was married Oct. 10, 1905 to David Muir, who survives her with two children, Eldon and Luella of this city; two sisters, Mrs. John (Emma) McNulty, Dubuque, and Mrs. D. M. (Louise) Floyd, Waterloo.
The body is at the family home where the funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. H. H. Diers will officiate. Burial will be made in Linwood cemetery.
Sylva camp, R. N. A. will hold its services Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the home.
