Dennis I. Knox, professor emeritus, Oklahoma State University, passed away at his home in Stillwater, OK on January 25, 2018. He was born June 30, 1934 in Wichita, KS, the son of Virgil Thomas Knox and Nina [Dennis] Knox.

He retired from OSU in 1990, after a thirty year teaching career in high schools and universities located in Kansas, Iowa, Arizona, and Oklahoma.

He served his country in the USNR during the period of the Korean conflict and subsequent cold war years.

He was pre­deceased by his parents; one son, Randall Knox; one grandson, Andrew Garver Knox.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Peggy Jane [Nelson] Knox; children, Brenda and Brian, of Winston Salem, NC, and Thomas Knox of Chelsea, MI; grandchildren, Melissa Jane Knox and Jordan Dennis Knox.

Interment of his cremated remains will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery.
