Pressie Adams succumbs at 95

Pressie Spencer Adams, 95, died May 11 at her home.

A daughter of the late Henry and Lucinda Back Spencer, she was the widow of James Fred Adams.

She was the mother of the late David Adams, Roy Adams, Bobby Adams and Charles Adams, and a sister of the late Ray Arnold, Eugene Adams, Ellis Adams and Tina Adams.

Surviving are three sons, Dick Adams and wife Pat, Tim Adams and wife Angie, all of Jeremiah, and Mike Adams and wife Gwen of Somerset; two daughters, Linda Hatton and husband Boyd of Jeremiah, and Brenda Bush and husband Coleman of Lexington; 25 grandchildren, 45 greatgrandchildren, 19 greatgreat-grandchildren; two aughters-in-law, Joanne Adams and Carla Adams; and a sister, Lucille Gilkeson of Dayton, Oh.

Funeral services were held May 14 at Blair Branch Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in Fred Adams Cemetery at Jeremiah.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
