Lois Eileen Hansen was born November 17, 1918 in Tripp County, SD to William “Fred”and Dora (Jansen) Beeman. She attended country elementary schools and graduated from Winner High School. She then went to business school in Rapid City. On November 25, 1942 she married Holger N.J.B. Hansen in Winner, SD. She worked as an assistant to the County Superintendent of Schools in Tripp County. Lois was a wife, mother, and business partner with her husband.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Plankinton, a charter member of VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Lois is survived by a son, Gary Dean (Janice) Hansen, Frisco, TX; a daughter, Barbara (Michael) Gilbertz, White Lake; a daughter-in-law, Diane Hansen, Pierre; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, David Holger Hansen; sister, Margaret (Richard) Anderson; brothers, Donald and Frederick (Bette) Beeman.
