Sharon Turnbull

Former Albany resident Sharon (Shepard) Turnbull, 56, of Fox Island, Wash., died Oct. 13 at home.
She was born in Portales, N.M., to Leslie "Shep" and Evolyn Shepard. She moved to Albany in 1955 graduating from Albany Union High School in 1964. She moved to the Puget Sound area, where she spent the last 22 years as a hair stylist.
She enjoyed being a wife and mother.
She married Chuck Turnbull, and he survives. Also surviving are son Joshua Turnbull and stepson Jason Turnbull, both of Fox Island; brothers John Shepard of Albany and Mike Shepard of Vancouver, Wash.; sisters Dixie Emery of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Corine Ransom of Albany.
A memorial service was held in Gig Harbor, Wash., and her ashes were scattered over Puget Sound.
