John Ivan Baumer, 74, of Trenton passed away on January 22, 2018.
Mr. Baumer was born March 20, 1943, to the late Leo Robert and Mary Elizabeth Baumer in Jackson, Michigan. He moved here from Michigan in 1992 and lived in the area for 25 years. He enjoyed flying and parachuting. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Chiefland Ward.
Mr. Baumer is survived by his wife Charleen J. Baumer of Trenton, FL; sons, Alex Baumer of Pembroke Pines, FL; Paul Baumer of Ohio; Bill Baumer of Utah; John Lee Baumer of Gainesville, FL; daughters Zarada Pickard of Utah; Sherry Baumer of Trenton, FL; brothers Duane Baumer, Dennis Baumer, Peter Baumer and sister Paulette Baumer all of Michigan; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Jay Baumer and his sister Alice Baumer.
Funeral services for Mr. Baumer will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Chiefland Ward, with Bishop Keith Mower, Brother James Woodham and Brother John Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Chiefland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chiefland Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
