Lelia Massood, 77, passed away January 24, 2018. Lelia was born August 5, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO to Violet and Leo Olsen. She was married to George Massood for 27 years. Lelia sang in the church choir and was a faithful member of Central Presbyterian Church. She was a brownie leader for 11 years, a cub scout leader and volunteered at Longan Elementary with the PTA and as the school nurse. Lelia LOVED her grandkids and TV. She worked at Trinity Hospital over 25 years. She was a "mother" to all the city, especially the neighborhood children and stray animals. She was loved by many in part due to her wittiness and generous nature. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Park Lawn, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Services will be 3 PM, Saturday, January 27 at Park Lawn; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to City Union Mission or Central Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. Arr: Park Lawn 816-523-1234
