Gordon Wayne Bailey, 60, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the University of Kansas Health System.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary.

Mr. Bailey will lie in state from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Friday, January 26, 2018, at the mortuary.

Interment Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville.

Gordon was born November 24, 1957, in Gardner, Kansas, the son of Claron and Pauline (Mignot) Bailey.

He was a lifelong Franklin County resident.

Gordon was united in marriage to Ethel Dunlap. They later divorced.

Survivors include his mother, Pauline Henery of Ottawa; daughter, Tiffany McCurdy of Ottawa; sister, Sherry Wheeler of Ottawa; brothers, Gene Harwell of Ottawa, and Douglas Bailey also of Ottawa; and grandchildren, Toby, Cohen and Zane McCurdy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claron Bailey; paternal grandparents, Emery and Ethel Mignot; and maternal grandparents, Claron & Edna Bailey.

Gordon was employed in housing construction.

He was a member of the Ottawa Community Church.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, KC Chiefs, KU basketball, the great outdoors, and his dogs.
