Volle Edwin Pyles, 37, well know carpenter of Latham and son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonis Dudley Pyles of rural route 5, Decatur, died last night in his home.
He had lived in Latham 22 years and was married to Sylvia Buckles of Latham. He was a member of the Baptist Church there.
Besides his wife and parents, he leaves a son, Volle E. Pyles Jr., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sears, Mrs. Imogine Baldwyer, and Mrs. Beth Burks, all of Decatur; and three brothers, Ohlie, Warrensburg; George, Chehais, Wash., and Cpl. Frank, with the Army in Europe. A brother, Staff Sgt. Lester Lee, was killed in the battle for the Anzio beachhead.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Latham Baptist Church. The Pease Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the family home.
