Lyla Mae Riley, 86, of Arthur, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Signature Health Care Center in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Brother Nick Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Lyla was born March 4, 1931 in Fountain Run, Kentucky, the daughter of Walter Edward and Sinia C. Brandon Wheeler. She married Charles Riley in Tuscola on May 14, 1948; he preceded her in death on April 18, 1985.

Lyla retired from Progress Industries in Arthur where she was a seamstress in the casket division
She was a member of the Arthur Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Moultrie County Historical & Genealogy Society. She was very active in the community. Lyla was known for her beautiful quilts which she registered.
