He grew up on a farm near Ceresco and attended District 52 Elementary School. He graduated from Ceresco High School in 1967 and went on to attend John F. Kennedy College.
After graduation in 1971, he began working at Anderson Auto in Wahoo as a bookkeeper and salesman. He stayed with the dealership through many owners and was a co-owner of Piper Bergman Auto. He was currently employed by Sid Dillon and made it his life's ambition to sell a diamond white vehicle to his numerous clients.
Ivan was an avid fan of Wahoo Warrior Sports, rarely missing a game since the 80's. He attended all of his nieces school and athlectic events adn recently learned that he liked soccer thanks to his great nephew.
Ivan took great pride in his yard and flowers. He was also delighted the town with his seasonal outdoor light displays.
