Lindal Watson Burnett, 82 of Cunningham, KY, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm at his residence. The family lovingly gathered around him, held his wearied hand and sang the songs of Zion as, to put it in his words, “he Graduated”.

He is survived by 207 descendants. 14 children and their companions: Eleven of Kentucky, Miriam (Houston) Gaither, Veta (Elbert) Castillow, Steven (Marsha) Burnett, Aaron (Tammy) Burnett, Benjamin (Demetra) Burnett, Beth (Jon) Beasley, John (Gatha) Burnett, Daniel (Valorie) Burnett, Marcus (Nicki) Burnett, Nathaniel (Cindy) Burnett and Matthew (April) Burnett. Two of Oklahoma, Timothy (Shirley) Burnett, Julia Gayle (Danny) Lafferty. One of Missouri, Leah (Kelvin) Roberts. 73 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Gourley Burnett; his father, Colvin Burnett; his mother, Hortense Burnett; one brother, Elvis Burnett; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hughes Burnett.

He was born August 12,1935 in Graves County, Kentucky.

As a teenager, Lindal gave his life to the Lord and served him faithfully to the end. He attended Trinity Holiness Church where he upheld the Godly principles of Holiness and handed to his children and grandchildren a “godly heritage”.

Funeral services will be at 1p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Trinity Holiness Church Activity Center with his son and pastor Bro Aaron Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Holiness Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the Trinity Holiness Church.
