Graveside services for Elvis Neal "Bud" Alberts, 60, of 316 20th Ave. N., Nampa, who died Monday, May 14, at his home of natural causes, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
The Rev. Lois True, retired, Caldwell Holiness Church, will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by members of the Colonel Stotsenberg Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Nampa.
Services are under the direction of the Flahiff funeral Chapel of Nampa.
Mr. Alberts was born Feb. 4, 1924, in Melboro, S.D., a son of William and Elizabeth Jane Lowber Alberts, and moved with his family to Ainsworth, Neb., where he was reared and educated. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific theater and China during World War II. Thereafter, he lived in the Pacific Northwest and worked as a herdsman at various dairies.
He married Mildred I. Naylor in 1949 in Notus, and they lived in several areas where his work took them. He married Elizabeth F. Cockrum Brown June 11, 1959, in Caldwell, and they lived in various Canyon County communities and moved to Nampa in 1978.
He is survived by his wife of Nampa, two sons, Allen and Tracey Alberts, both of Nampa; four daughters, Linda Alberts and Kay Courville, both of Boise, and Larena and Karolane Alberts, both of Nampa; his mother, Elizabeth Jane Alberts, Ainsworth, Neb.; four stepsons, Bailey Brown, Jim Brown, Milton Brown and Tommie Brown, all of Nampa; step-daughter, Judy Brown of Jerome; a brother, Marvin Alberts of Greeley, Colo.; a sister, Larena Kackmeister Ainsworth; 24 grandchildren several nieces and nephew.
Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral until 9 p.m. today and Friday from 9 until 10 a.m. and may meet at the cemetery for services.
