Audrey Mae Segner, age 90, of Monroe, formerly of Gratiot, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on May 31, 1927 in Freeport, IL; the daughter of John and Gladys (Landon) Svendsen. She graduated from South Wayne High School and attended U.W. Madison in food supervision.

Audrey and Glenn Segner were united in marriage on May 17, 1945.

Audrey worked at Oaktron Industries and Burgess Battery; she also owned a bar in Gratiot and later did Home Care. She enjoyed cooking, painting, and quilting. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Beverly) Segner of Monroe, Kerry (Terri) Segner of Browntown, and Garry (Gloria) Segner of Monroe; brother, Donald Svendsen of Browntown; sister, Doris (Clem) Barbender of Waukeegan, IL; 8 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren and 13 step great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Westley, Victor, and John Svendsen Jr.; and sisters, Betty Svendsen, Alice Clouse, and Elsie McGrath.

Funeral services will be Monday January 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Burial will follow in Saucerman Cemetery. A visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. The Hanson Funeral Home is assisting the family.

A memorial fund is being established in Audrey's name.
