Aline Ella Ringler, 86, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at Cumberland Healthcare Center.Born May 7, 1931, in Chaneysville, Pa., Aline was the daughter of the late Thomas L. Clark and Vesta G. (Trail) Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles K. Ringler; a brother, Kenneth Clark; and four sisters, Betty Bulgar, Maxine Schultz, Deannie Dishong, and Virginia "Jo" Boyd.Aline married the love of her life, Charles K. Ringler on Jan. 26, 1953. She was previously employed at G.C. Murphy as a waitress, and the Allegany County Board of Education in the kitchen of Washington Middle School. Aline and her husband where the managers of Halfway Manor in Hagerstown from 1979-1980 then they came back to Cumberland to manage the Cumberland Arms Apartments in downtown Cumberland from 1980-1995.Aline is survived by her sons, Ronald Ringler and wife, Darlene, Oldtown, and William Ringler and wife, Tammy, Cumberland. She also leaves behind her sister, Malda Riley, Cumberland; her caretaker and former daughter-in-law, Stephanie Hipsley and fiancé, Gary; and her best friends, Nancy and Dick Trimble, LaVale. Aline is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer (Peter), Andrea (Joel) Eric, Kimberly (Eric), Jason (Kelly), and Jessica; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon with a service to follow at noon with Deacon Earl Trimble officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cumberland Health Care Center, especially to Tonya and Sara, and to WMHS Home Hospice Care, for all the care and compassion given to Aline.
