Marian E. Holt, 92, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 PM, with service at 2 PM, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel.
Marian grew up on a farm in central Kansas where she attended country grade school and High School. She was Valedictorian of both schools. After high school, she attended Kansas State University and graduated with a teaching degree.
She married Carl Holt and they were blessed with five children. She is survived by four children, Richard, Mark, Kathryn and Matthew, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her son, Jeffrey; her grandson, Clark;as well as her brother, Bill and sister, Madeline.
Marian was a sweet soul who quietly accepted both the joys and difficulties that came into her life. She lived her life graciously and unselfishly reflecting her faith in Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed.
