Cemetery records verify that John's remains are buried with his second wife, Sarah. An obituary for John I have not been able to find. He did however leave a will and there was a short piece in a Yamhill paper that mentioned that he transferred four acres to his wife, Sarah C. Messinger. I would think that his family would have wanted him to be buried with his first wife, their mother. Why Sarah did not honor their wishes, who knows? But John"s grave is at Rose City cemetery which is important for the records of Find a Grave.
