Lois was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Amarillo to Leland Stanford Baker and Teresia Adamson Baker. Lois dated Clyde Rose during World War II and finished her bachelors degree in art and English at West Texas State in Canyon, where she grew up. In 1946, Lois and Clyde married and moved to White Settlement. They had three children. They built their dream home in 1958. Clyde died in a drowning accident in 1960. Lois was completely devoted to her children and raised them by herself. Lois never remarried and lived in their house until she had to go into assisted living about six years ago.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Evangeline.
Survivors: Son, George Rose; and daughters, Patsy Klamt and husband, Darold and Marilyn Tonn and husband, Mike.
