Donnie Mach, 66
Donald Ray Mach, of Salt Gap, entered heaven on Jan. 15, 2018, to meet Jesus at 1:30 p.m. Memorial services were held Friday, Jan. 19, at 2 p .m. in the Eden Funeral Home chapel with burial following in the Eden Cemetery.
Donnie was born April 27, 1951, in Robert Lee, to Frank and Imogene Mach. His family moved to Spearman, following the oilfield which would also consume his entire career. He and Sharon Byers were married in 1974 and they continued to follow the oilfield through its ups and downs to Oklahoma City and Houston then eventually in Salt Gap.
His parents, sister, Patsy, and oldest son, Jeremy Ray, went to heaven ahead of him. He left behind his wife, his son, Daniel Don, and daughter-in-law, Hillery, his brothers, Richard and Frankie, sister Rose, 10 brother and sister-in-laws, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also left three grandchildren, Matthew, Collin and Samantha. He loved all children but would do anything for his grandchildren.
His other passions were his dogs, motorcycle and 1966 Grand Prix that he claimed he was going to take with him. Guess he didn't need it in heaven after all because he left it here, too.
