Helen Maxine Abbott, 75, a lifetime resident of Olympia, died Saturday, May 29, 1993, in her home.***

She was born to Arthur and Hazel (Hiatt) Hitchcock on Sept 9, 1917, in Olympia, where she was graduated from Olympia High School

She had been employed as executive secretary to the CEO of AlliedNewspaper Publishers.

She enjoyed animals, gardening, and reading, and was a member of the Moose Lodge

Survivors include a godson, Charles B. White, Moss Beach Calif.; a stepsister, Janis Shanes, Sumner, a niece, Dawn Shanes, Sumner, and a nephew, Jay Shanes of Sumner.

A funeral service will beøn at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, in the Mills and Mills Funeral Home, Olympia, with the Rev. Richard Parle oficiating. Interment will follow at the Masonic Memorial Park

The suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Soäety.

Arrangements are by Mills and Mills Funeral Home, Olympia.
