Theodore (Ted) Dixon, 83, of Corning, NY, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Corning Hospital.
He was born January 22, 1934 in Corning, the son of Lawrence and Helen (Sargent) Dixon.
He married Virginia (Stickler) Dixon on October 22, 1960.
Ted retired from Corning Inc. and The United States Army National Guard. He was a member of the Campbell American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Gloria (David) Rich of Beaver Dams, Gregory Dixon of Corning, Timothy (Diana) Dixon of Thurston and Oscar (Jeff) Dixon of Corning; sisters, Marlene Pejsha, Barbara Arcovio, Doris Pierce, Diane Crowl, Penny Root and Judy Faulkner; brother, Richard (Velma) Dixon; grandchildren, Tony, Shelly, and Bryant; great grandchildren, Abigail, Ethan. Lily, Isabella and Jayce.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife, daughter, Harriett Dixon, sisters, Gloria Vaughn, Virginia Conover, Janis Dixon and brothers, Lawrence Dixon, and Gary Dixon.
The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Becker officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Painted Post.
