Mrs. Josephine Adams died at her home a few miles northwest of Hamilton last Sunday evening about 8 o'clock.
Mrs. Adams had been in poor helalth for some time, but her sudden and unexpected death was a sad supriae to her family and friends. She was in Hamilton Saturday and on Sunday had been visiting. When aftr returning home in lthe evening she was strciken with heart failure abour 8 o'clock. Dr. Lewis was sumnoned and all medical skill and lovng hands could do was done but was of no avail, about 8 o'clock she died.
Josephine Adams was bron December 28, 1859 in Putnam Co., N. Y. Died at her home near Hamilton July 25, 1897. She was married to James Adams Dec 9, 1877. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband 6 children, an aged father and three brothers. She became a member of the Baptist Church of Stronghurst, Ill in 1890.
The funeral wervices were held at the M. E. Church on Tuesday, Jult 27, at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev H. E. Cullison. A large congregation was in attendance to pay their respects to one they loved.
