Betty Emory
Avon-Mrs Betty Emory, 58, of RR Avon, died at 7;30 Sunday in Methodist Medical Center in Peoria . Services will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday in the Prairie City Presbyterian Church, The Rev. Peter MacFane officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie City Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell. Memorials may be made to the Prairie City Presbyterian Church.
She was born June 21, 1924, in Fulton County, a daughter of Forrest and Charlotte Everly Hornbaker. She was a member of the Prairie City Presbyterian Church where she was serving as treasurer, and the McDonough County Homemakers Extended. She was a manager of Dutchmaid products and had been associated with the company 27 year. She married H. Dexter Emory on May 6, 1945, in Prairie City. He died Sept. 15, 1978.
Surviving are her mother of Avon; three daughters, Mrs Nancy Stephenson of Prairie City. Mrs Mary Sue Hickenbottom of Bushnell and Charlotte Emory of Peoria ; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs Edith Suter of Bushnell and Mrs Lois Kreps of Avon
