- Her parents were Gavino Garcia (born @ Mar 1855 Mexico, death date and burial location unknown) and Sarah Rutledge (April 1846 – 30 August 1937). Sarah was the daughter of Abraham Rutledge and Nancy Smith and Nancy was the daughter of Matilda Hicks.

Rosela had four children :
-John Box (25 Jun 1904 San Juan, Texas - 13 Aug 1983 Indio, Riverside, California) with
John Lina Box (17 December 1876-9 November 1961),
- Alicia M. Garcia (1909 – 19 August 1995) with Tom "Whispering Tom" Mayfield (16 June 1880 - 24 November 1966),
- Nellie Garcia (1906-?) her adopted daughter, and
- Julian Garza (27 May 1914 San Juan Plantation, Hidalgo, Texas - 28 Sep 1995 Hidalgo, Texas) with Rufino Garza (1892-?).

Her mother and uncle Robert Rutledge (her mother's brother) are also in this same cemetery.

Oddly she is not in the January 1980 Hidalgo County Historical Society {misnamed} BREWSTER RANCH CEMETERY Survey. Perhaps her stone was installed after that date?
