Adell Gertrude Palmer, 91, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, January 11, 1998.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay B. Palmer Sr.; son, Charles L. Palmer; four brothers; two sisters.
Survivors include one son, Clay B. Palmer Jr., Roanoke; one daughter, Pauline Duke, Los Angeles, Calif.; sister-in-law, Vivian Vaughan, Bluefield, W.Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 15, 1998 at 12 noon, Loudon Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. William Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home, 126 Gilmer Ave., N.W., Roanoke.
