Services for Martha “Jane” Stephens have been set for 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the First Mennonite Church in Clinton, with Doug Lewis officiating, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Jane was born In Waldo, Arkansas on April 18, 1926 to Wayne and Ruth Russell, and passed away January 8, 2018 in Oklahoma City.
Jane was raised in Waldo, Arkansas; she attended the Mt. Vernon Schools. She married Charles Denvil Stephens, and they moved to Clinton in 1972. She was employed with the City of Clinton and worked many years in the water department. She was a life master bridge player. She made her profession for Jesus Christ as her savior at the age of 19. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton. Jane used the 1st Psalms as a role model in her and her husband’s home.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son Kenneth, her son Charles Russell, her brothers Edwin, W.J., and E.J. Russell, and her sister Louise Walthall.
She is survived by her son Jeff and his wife Kelly Stephens of Clinton, and 3 granddaughters Linzi, Kendall, and Preslee.
