Helen was the oldest of 10 children born to James Lonnie and Naomi (Collier) Tucker. After graduating from Summertown High School, Summertown, Tenn., she attended Middle Tennessee Teachers College. She married John A. Vacha on Aug. 15, 1939. They built and operated Knollbrook Golf Course in Lodi. Her interests were family first always, then growing flowers and watching wild birds. She is survived by one son; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, James Tucker; and sisters, Katheryn Tucker and Lois Holloway.
