Daniel Lee Holder, age 79, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his residence.
Born June 19, 1938 in Erwin, NC, he was the son of the late Alvis Lee and Elsie Lucas Holder.
Daniel was a high school graduate of Benhaven High School in Olivia, NC. He attended Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, NC as well as Horry Georgetown Technical College.
Daniel proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Saratoga.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janette H. Holder and Carolyn H. Mariner, one brother, Alvis Lee Holder, Jr., and his former wife Carolyn W. Holder.
The family would like extend a special thanks to Darcy, Tonya, Cassie Tracie, and John with Heartland Hospice for all of the care, kindness, and love during this time.
Surviving Daniel are his wife of 35 years, Patricia Lee Holder; his children, Kathy H. Guerrero (Richard), Deborah H. Brown (Michael), and Carol H. Schroeder (Joey) all of Sanford, NC, Daniel L. Holder II (Sarah) of Broadway, NC, Richard D. Jaco (Barbara) of Summerton, SC, and Terry J. Chapin of Myrtle Beach; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one brother, Ralph E. Holder (Margaret) of Lillington, NC; one sister, Christine H. McLamb of Florence, SC; and two sister-in-laws, Alice Lee of Waynesville, NC and Annette Lee Marlowe of Myrtle Beach.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Chaplain John Boyce officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
