They died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 59, south of Oskaloosa.
Mrs. Riley was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Harry Edward and Elizabeth Pearl (Williamson) Henninger. She had lived in the Topeka area for 30 years.
John was born Sept. 14, 1996, in Topeka, the son of Joseph Jr. and Leda Lynn (Buck) Becerra.
Mrs. Riley was a homemaker and had worked many years as a nurses' aide at Fairview Nursing Home, Oskaloosa, and Joplin's Care Home, McLouth.
She married Marshall T. Buck Sr. on Nov. 6, 1956, in Arkansas. He died July 29, 1974. She later married Bob Riley. They later divorced.
Her survivors include two sons, Leland Johnson, Lawrence, and Jimmy Dean Buck, Topeka; two daughters, Barbara Ann Hinklin and Leda Lynn Becerra, both of Topeka; two stepdaughters, Mary Lou Guy, Baldwin, and Sarah Jane Akin, Winchester; two sisters, Dorothy Reed, Oskaloosa, and Carol Jolliff, St. Francis; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A son, Marshall T. Buck Jr., two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, died earlier.
John Becerra's survivors include his parents, of the home; two brothers, Anthony Robert Becerra, Kansas City, Kan., and Joseph Thomas Becerra, of the home; two sisters, Jeanie Kay Becerra and Samantha Lynn Becerra, both of the home; a paternal grandfather, Joseph Becerra Sr., Kansas City, Kan.; and paternal great-grandparents, Wilson and Bonnie Kahl, Lebanon, Tenn.
