GREENWOOD ITEMS – Thomas [L.] Clark, after a short illness with pneumonia, died at his home in Greenwood last Sunday evening at 4:00. The deceased formerly lived on his farm near Acton, Indiana, but for the past ten years had been a resident of Greenwood. Up to within a few days of his death he was taking an active interest in the location of a factory in this town in which venture he was financially interested. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church at Greenwood Tuesday morning. The burial at Acton.

Thomas Clark died at his home in Greenwood at 3:00 Sunday after a five days illness with pneumonia fever. Mr. Clark was one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Greenwood. He was born near Acton and lived near that place until the breaking out of the civil war when he moved to Greenwood where he made his residence until his death.
He was a loyal citizen and was many times identified with movements toward the betterment of the town where he lived. He was seventy-two years of age and a member of the Greenwood Presbyterian church. He had been an elder in the church for many years. He had also been an elder in the Acton Presbyterian church and served in all as a ruling elder for half a century. He was a thorough Christian gentleman. The funeral was held from the late home on Tuesday morning. The remains were taken to Acton for burial.
