ROBERT WOODROW "John" SOCKS SR., 72, of Williamsport, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Meritus Medical Center. Born Jan. 24, 1945, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Luther Moats and Frances (Socks) Moats.
Robert worked in construction his entire life, retiring in 2007 from Leroy Myers Construction. He was of the Protestant Faith. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid hunter.
Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dianne Socks; two daughters, Crystal Davis , and Michelle Scheide; a son, Robert W. Socks Jr.; a brother, Daniel Moats; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
