Edna taught school for thirty- seven or more years at Summer City, Sampson, Rigsby, Spring City Elementary, and Rhea County Elementary.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur S. Putnam.
Survivors include her sons, Doug Putnam, Hixson, Sammy (Sue) Putnam, Pikeville; grandchildren, Leslie, Paul, and John David; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 p m CST Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial will be in Iron Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 p m-8:00 p m CST Wednesday, January 10, 2018. There will be no visitation with family before service time Thursday.
