She was a member of Ripley Primitive Baptist Church, had worked as assistant director of admissions, international student director at Hastings College, and had worked as a sales rep for Milan Express. Services were December 6 at 10 am at Ripley Presbyterian Church with burial in Blue Mountain Cemetery. Bro Mike Strevel officiated. Ripley Funeral Home was in charge. Survivors include her husband, John Formsma; two sons, Jackson and Parker Formsma, both of Blue Mountain; her mother, Linda Halbgewachs, Lincoln, Neb; a sister, Joanna Pope, Wahoo, NE; a stepsister, Lara Hartman, Kearney, NE; two brothers, Chris Taylor, Tyrone, Ga and David Taylor, Cozad, NE. Pallbearers were Rod Pontine, Justine Halbgewachs, Victor Halgewachs, Tom Hill, Chris Taylor, and David Taylor.
