John B. Howell, 72, owner and operator of Howells Dairy on Sauvies Island, died Tuesday following a brief illness.
Mr. Howell, a member of the Sauvies Island grange, was born May 25, 1880, on Suavies Island.
He is survived by the widow, Rose; four daughters, Mrs. Margery Taber, Mrs. Elizabeth Holm and Mrs. Mabel Dudley, all of Sauvies Island, and Mrs. Gene Schaffer, Portland, and a sister, Mrs. Mabel A. Lampher, Kelso, WA.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 am at the Little Chapel of the Chimes, Entombment will be at Riverview Abbey.
